Barú economy drops 70%

Barú Economic activity is virtually paralyzed.
Concern and uncertainty is apparent in every corner and in every face of those who inhabit the district of Baru, due to strong economic contraction that is recorded in the area. The Chamber of Commerce Baru said that the economy fell by 70%.
Eira Sanchez, president of the trade union, said that the crisis increased since stopped marketing the banana fruit to international markets and there is greater fear because the company announced that Del Monte did not acquire the banana business.
In a communiqué issued by that camera, he asks the president-elect of the Republic, Ricardo Martinelli, who is directly involved in the banana problem with free market policies that ensure the profitability of the activity.
